 'Sex Rituals of the Occult'
Recently partnered Pure Play Media and Video-X-Pix are offering up Sex Rituals of the
Occult, a classic porn title. In a 35mm film
originally released in 1970, director Robert Caramico ventures into the rarely seen worlds
of witchcraft, voodoo, black masses, and more! These ritualistic orgies from the golden
age of porn are definitely a unique find for the porn connoisseur who is looking for a new
collectible. DVD extras include classic trailers, a 35mm slide show, and an interview with
porn legend Ron Jeremy.
Pure Play Media began distributing Video-X-Pix classics in
early 2009. The studio specializes in 35mm films from the 70s and 80s, which feature such
porn legends as Ron Jeremy, Seka, Vanessa del Rio, Gloria Leonard, and John Holmes.
According to Steven Morowitz of Video-X-Pix, a
second-generation adult entertainment entrepreneur, “Our movies come from a period of
big budgets, exotic locations, and premiere parties for new releases. If you take the sex
out, you have a drama, mystery, comedy, or even a musical left. Some of the talent were
really pursuing acting, trying out for off-Broadway plays when they weren’t shooting.
