Vivid-Alt Ships Kimberly Kane's 'Live in My Secrets'
Vivid-Alt's Live in My Secrets, the latest directorial effort from performer Kimberly
Kane.Billed as "an extreme hardcore fetish
feature from the most primal reaches of Kimberly's psyche," the new release stars
Kane with Sasha Grey, Bobbi Starr, Faith Leon, Claire Adams, Aiden Starr, April Flores,
Mandy Morbid, Mick Blue, and Tyler Knight.
When Kimberly Kane says "hardcore," she really
means it. Live in My Secrets is her hardest project to date in its dark and dirty
exploration of fetishism.
"There's horse play, pissing - otherwise known as
squirting - there's legitimate sub/dom bondage between the best submissive in the world,
Bobbi Starr, and the best female dominant in the world, Claire Adams," Kane told AVN.
"This is the first time they've ever actually had sex. It's the first time Sasha Grey
and I ever had sex, and the first time Aiden Starr and Tyler Knight had sex. That scene is
a horse fantasy; I wrenched up Tyler in this stable like a horse, and Aiden Starr fucked
him."
Kane went on to dish about the gory details of her scene
with AVN Award-winner Grey. "I had this fantasy where I wanted to have sex covered in
blood," she said. "So me and Sasha Grey did our first scene totally covered in
blood, and the cool thing about it was Sasha was actually on her period, so I was like,
'Don't put in a tampon, just bleed, just bleed out.' She was bleeding while we were having
sex, and it was amazing."
Kane captured the action with a mix of Super-8 film footage
and hi-def video. The DVD includes a bonus reel of Super-8 footage, and Kane is planning
to compile her ongoing film work for a separate release later this year.
"Film is a process, and this project really made me
appreciate it a lot more," Kane said. "You have to be very careful with film; it
takes a lot of love and care. But the cool thing about it is you never know what you have;
I shot Smokin' Mary Jane doing this foot fetish thing, and it was the first time I had
actually shot film. I was so scared; I was like, 'It's gonna be horrible,' I was shaking,
and it turned out to be awesome. So, you just never know what you're going to get."
Kane praised Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch for allowing
her to release Live in My Secrets with its rough content largely intact.
"This was actually the hardest movie to get out,
because it was offending so many people in post-production," she said. "Luckily,
Steve Hirsch was on my side and helped me through it, because literally, every second of
this movie was under a microscope and offending someone at Vivid. So this was definitely
my darkest release to date, but I think I could go darker. I want to go darker. I'm just
testing the waters over there at Vivid, seeing what I'll get away with."
Vivid-Alt head Eon McKai is behind his director all the
way. "Kimberly Kane shoots the hardest sex you can find on DVD," he said.
"She doesn't hold back when she makes a movie, and she is unwilling to compromise her
vision. That makes her one of the most passionate directors I have ever had the pleasure
of working with."
Kane's previous Vivid-Alt releases include Morphine and
Triple Ecstasy.
