 Girlfriends Films Launches New Lesbian Series 'Field of
Schemes'
Girlfriends Films Field Of Schemes, the first volume in an ongoing series about lesbian
sex in the world of women's softball. Directed by
Girlfriends Films president Dan O'Connell, the series is a new addition to the company's
established Thornhill Diaries line. Volume One stars Dana DeArmond, Mina Leigh, Darryl
Hanah, Magdalena, Joelean, Samantha Ryan, Leah Livingston and Victoria Valentine.
"The possible angles to this series are many, and
there will be plenty of intrigue as the story develops from one episode to the next,"
says O’Connell.
Girlfriends Films received eight AVN Awards nominations
this year, including Best All-Girl Release (Women Seeking Women 36), Best New Series
(Imperfect Angels), and Best Online Marketing Campaign - Company Image. O'Connell promises
more great things to come from the premier lesbian label.
"We had a great 2008 and are looking forward to
2009," says O'Connell. "From our beginning, we’ve been fully aware that we
have to keep on evolving. Our last ten releases look much different than our first ten,
and we enter 2009 with plans for more series, more storylines, more use of professional
writers, and significant improvements in both our production and post-production
departments. We purchased three Sony XDCAM Cinealta cameras in October, and this
immediately bumped up image quality and puts us right where we need to be to add high
quality Blu-ray movies to our product line."
