 'Pirates II' is Adult's 1st Dual-Layer Blu-ray
Digital Playground's Blu-ray edition of its blockbuster sequel Pirates II: Stagnetti’s
Revenge.Touted as "the quintessential addition
to every high definition collection," Pirates II is the first adult title to be
issued on a dual-layer Blu-ray disc.
"A dual layer Blu-ray disc can hold 50 GB of
information. That means that Pirates II on Blu-ray has over 8 hours of footage on only 2
dual-layer discs," explained Digital Playground co-founder Joone, who directed both
Pirates movies. "We wanted to cut the times the customer had to change discs but also
wanted to keep the quality. We’re committed to giving the consumer the best
technology available."
The Blu-ray set includes all of the content from the 4-disc
standard DVD release.
"Joone and I have built Digital Playground using
leading technologies and delivery methods," said Samantha Lewis, Digital Playground’s
CEO and producer of the film. "We will continue to stay ahead of technological
advancement in order to give the consumer exactly what they want."
Pirates II stars Digital Playground contract girls Jesse Jane, Shay Jordan, Katsuni,
Stoya, Riley Steele and Gabriella Fox. The film costars Belladonna, Sasha Grey,
Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Abbey Brooks, Shawna Lenee, Rhylee Richards, Brea Lynn, Shyla
Stylez, and Veronica Rayne. Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn, and Steven St. Croix reprise their
roles from the original Pirates. The film also includes industry studs Manuel Ferrara,
James Deen, Marco Banderas, Mick Blue, Ben English, and Charles Dera.
The disc extras include more than 2 1/2 hours of extended sex scenes, a bonus sex scene,
behind-the-scenes slide show, a behind-the-scenes making of Pirates II, a featurette
capturing Riley Steele’s first day on set, interviews, confessionals, bloopers, stars’
audio commentary, original casting calls, making of the FX, deleted scenes, Pirates making
history at the AVN Awards, Pirates premiere party, and trailers for other Digital
Playground releases.
Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge was shot in 1080p high def and is presented in 16x9
widescreen format with digital 5.1 surround sound.
