 VCX Releases 5 Cal Vista Classics
VCX's first five DVDs in its Cal-Vista Classics line. The five movies are Bacchanale (1970), Dear Fanny (1985), Call
Girl (1984), Double Your Pleasure (1978) and Expose Me Now (1983).
These rare features from the Golden Age of theatrical
hardcore films have never been seen before on DVD. Each new disc includes the re-mastered
feature with a collection of extras that include original photo galleries, artwork and
bonus scenes.
Baccahanale is the early Amero Brothers
extravaganza originally billed as the "Ultimate Hard Core Film." Starring Uta
Erickson, the Fellini-esque sex flick was actually shot softcore and re-cut to include
hard inserts with Harry Reems and Tina Russell. The movie is also notable for the
appearances of sexploitation mavens Michael and Roberta Findlay (Snuff, Shriek
of the Mutilated).
Dear Fanny features Amber Lynn in one of her
earliest scenes, and a performance from the young Ron Jeremy. "Dear Fanny is
not just one of the best of its day," said VCX president David Sutton. "Dear
Fanny is a timeless film that all porn fans should have the privilege to view."
The plot of Call Girl revolves around a life and
death rivalry between two gangs. Caesar, an ex-lawyer convicted for malpractice, is now a
spoiled gigolo thriving in the Paris underworld. After kidnapping the beautiful seductress
Marilyn Lamour, he exposes her to his perverted passion, which she soon embraces with
ravenous lust.
Double Your Pleasure is director Carter Stevens'
famous feature starring the real-life identical twins Brooke and Taylor Young. Stevens is
prepping his own special edition DVD of the movie for After Hours Cinema, which will hit
the market after the VCX version streets.
Expose Me Now tells a story of two brothers
fighting for an inheritance. The movie includes nine sex scenes, with a top-notch cast
including Angel Burgeon, Brooke Bennett, Dana Moore, Danielle, K.C. Valentine, Lynx Canon,
Don Fernando, Hershel Savage, Paul Thomas, Richard Pacheco and Ron Jeremy.
VCX president David Sutton personally supervised the new
digital transfers from 35mm prints.
"The movies we have slated for the Cal-Vista Classic
Collection are among the greatest of the Golden Age titles," Sutton said. "Great
sex scenes, amazing quality with high end production values very rarely seen in today's
efforts."
VCX plans to release over 100 rare Cal-Vista Classics in
the coming months, featuring such stars as Amber Lynn, Ron Jeremy, Angel, Gina Carrera,
Nina Hartley, Annette Haven, Patti Petite, Erica Boyer and John Holmes.
