 'Not Bewitched' Disc Packed With XXXtras
Producer Jeff Mullen contacted AVN to talk up the massive added-value menu on his Not
Bewitched XXX DVD, from Adam & Eve Pictures and X-Play. "It's a lot of value for distributors and consumers," Mullen told AVN.
"We have over five hours of footage on this disc, taking viewers through the whole
process of making the movie, from BTS to bloopers."

consider Not Bewitched XXX the best of their porn pop-culture parodies, which include the
Britney Rears series and last year's megahit Not the Bradys XXX. Adult DVD Empire has
already picked out the movie as a heavy contender for the 2009 AVN Awards in their annual
fall release promotion.
"This is really the funniest thing we've done, and I'm
really proud of it," Mullen said. "That's one of the reasons why we've given the
DVD extras so much special attention."
The Not Bewitched disc offers five separate sections
devoted to bonus features in addition to the 2 1/2-hour movie.
"The first two sections are behind-the-scenes features
running 30 minutes each," Mullen explained. "This takes you all over the set
with the stars, including Jenna Haze and Teagan Presley. It's a huge cast; we have 23
stars in this movie, so we had to break up the BTS to fit it all in."
The third bonus section of the disc offers a 25-minute
"travelogue" with the X-Play auteurs. "It's a video interviewing Scott and
me that shows what it took to make the movie," Mullen said. "You get to see how
the whole thing was put together from start to finish."
A 30-minute "Lights! Camera! Action!" section of
the menu contains bloopers. "It's all the gaffes and laughs from the set,"
Mullen said. "Viewers will definitely get a kick out of it."
Finally, an audio commentary with XXX star Sunny Lane,
actor James Bartholet and director Will Ryder runs the full length of the movies. The
lively track has the three panelists giving insights into the porn industry and responding
to the action on screen.
The DVD also contains the expected photo gallery and
trailers, includign the advance teasers that X-Play used to market the movie on YouTube.
Mullen confirmed to AVN that a Blu-ray edition of the Not
Bewitched XXX will be released to accommodate even more mind-boggling extras.
"We were maxing out the DVD with so many extras,"
he laughed. "So we are doing a Blu-ray, probably two weeks after the standard disc
release. I firmly believe Blu-ray is not for all movies, but ones that will have
shelf-life. Not Bewitched is going to have legs, and I'm really looking forward to the
reaction."
